Jeremy was selected to play for England in 2001 on the tour of Zimbabwe. He played in the first one-day international at Harare, and had an outstanding match. Jeremy bowled ten tight overs of off-spin, taking the wickets of the two Flower brothers, and held two catches in the outfield. This performance earned him the Man Of The Match award. He made a further 9 one-day international appearances including a match against India, at Chennai in front of a hostile crowd of 60,000, where he took the prized wicket of one of the greatest batsmen of all time, Sachin Tendulkar.

With the introduction of the Twenty20 World Championships Jeremy was selected for England following some outstanding performances for Leicestershire in the shortest format of the game. He played against South Africa in front of a packed home crowd at Newlands.

Jeremy’s international career actually started in 1988 when he was selected for England Under-15’s. He was made captain of England Under-18s for the tour of Canada in 1991. The following year he toured with England U-19s in Pakistan.

Jeremy began his county career with Northamptonshire, where he played from 1992-98. He joined Gloucestershire for the 1999 season and became a key element in the team's comprehensive one-day success. He played in each of Gloucestershire's winning sides in four Lord's finals in 1999 and 2000, and was a key member of the team that won the unique one-day treble, adding the National League to the trophy cabinet in 2000.

Jeremy joined Leicestershire at the beginning of the 2003 season. His move to Grace Road brought a new dimension to his cricket as he became an expert at Twenty20. His clever slow bowling, often referred to as the ‘Moon Ball’, and his smart batting made him a key part of the team that won the 2004 and 2006 titles winning acclaim for the way he captained the side throughout 2006.

Whilst playing for Leicestershire Jeremy completed a Masters Degree in sports psychology. His expertise in this area and international cricket experience led to him helping the England players, as a sports psychologist, in the 2006 World Cup in the West Indies. Jeremy has also done a lot of work with the International Cricket Council helping teams such as Ireland, Scotland and Kenya raise their game to an International standard. Following this success Jeremy has set up his own business Sporting Edge Solutions which helps businesses across the UK achieve that competitive edge.
